Password policies
The Swiss21 portal enforces minimum password requirements to ensure the security of all user accounts.
Requirements
Your password must meet the following criteria:
- At least 8 characters long
- At least one uppercase letter (A-Z)
- At least one lowercase letter (a-z)
- At least one number (0-9)
Recommendations
In addition to the minimum requirements, we recommend:
- Using at least 12 characters — longer passwords are significantly more secure
- Including special characters (e.g. !@#$%&)
- Using a password manager to create a unique password for each service
- Not reusing your password — use a dedicated password for Swiss21
- Changing your password regularly, especially if you suspect it may have been compromised
Avoiding common mistakes
- Do not use personal information (name, date of birth, company name)
- Avoid simple patterns like "123456", "Password1", or keyboard sequences
- Do not share your password via email or chat
Forgotten your password?
If you have forgotten your password, click "Forgot password" on the login page. You will receive an email with a link to reset it. This link is valid for a limited time only.
Additional protection
A strong password alone is not enough. Combine it with two-factor authentication (2FA) via an authenticator app. This keeps your account protected even if your password is compromised.
