Applications
In the Applications overview, you can see all Swiss21 apps linked to your portal for the selected user (e.g. AbaNinja, AbaSalary, AbaClik, CRM, POS, Shop). The "Granted Permissions" column shows which applications this user currently has access to and with which role (e.g. Full Access, Employee Service, Offline Use). The texts under "Available Roles" describe what data and functions the respective app may use when access is granted, such as retrieving user information, processing accounting data, or managing payments and bank details.
Benefits of this view
You can quickly check whether an employee actually only has access to the applications they need. Especially for sensitive areas like accounting or payroll, this helps keep access rights transparent and comply with data protection requirements. You can also immediately see whether an app like AbaClik or AbaNinja is correctly enabled for collaboration (e.g. expenses, time tracking, accounting).
Notes on assigning permissions
- When you invite a new user (button "+ Add User" in the portal dashboard), you select the desired applications directly; only then does this user appear in the application list with the corresponding permissions.
- If a user should have full access to all areas of the portal, invite them as an "Administrator"; in that case, you can no longer enable or disable individual apps separately.
- If you want to grant access to specific functions only (e.g. only AbaSalary for your fiduciary company), use the "Employee" role and select only that application.
Tips and typical use cases
- Regularly check application permissions, especially when employees leave the company or change roles; remove apps that are no longer needed via the respective row (e.g. "Revoke Permission").
- For external consultants, use targeted access to individual applications (e.g. only AbaSalary or AbaNinja) so they can see exactly the data they need for their work — no more and no less.
- If you need help with the configuration, you can also invite a Digital Coach or Swiss21 Support with full portal access; these access rights should be deactivated again after the support has been completed.
