Two-step verification

In the Security section, account owners and administrators can enforce two-step verification (2FA) for all users who want to access the Swiss21 account. This ensures that every user must set up an additional factor (e.g. an authenticator app) in addition to email and password before they can log in.

Benefits

By enforcing two-step verification, you protect the entire account and all business data stored within it. Even if an individual password is compromised, access is not possible without the second factor. This is especially important when multiple users with different permissions access sensitive data.

How it works

  • Navigate to Settings > Security.
  • Enable the option Enforce two-step verification.
  • All existing users without active 2FA will be prompted to set up an authenticator at their next login.
  • New users must configure 2FA at their first login.

Notes

  • The setting applies to all users of the account, regardless of their role.
  • Individual users can manage their personal 2FA under User > Authenticator.
  • If a smartphone is lost, the affected user must contact Swiss21 Support.
