Authenticator
In the Authenticator section, you manage two-factor authentication (2FA) for your Swiss21 portal account. Here you can see the configured authenticators, e.g. Mobile (authenticator app on your smartphone) or Vault (hardware/password manager). Using the bin icon next to an entry, you can remove an existing authenticator and then set up a new one if needed.
Benefits of 2-factor authentication
With an additional authenticator, you significantly improve the protection of your login against unauthorised access, as a second factor (e.g. a one-time code) is always required in addition to email/password. This is especially important when multiple users have access to sensitive business data in AbaNinja, AbaSalary, or other Swiss21 applications.
Usage notes
- When you delete an authenticator (bin icon), make sure to set up a new factor immediately so you can continue to log in.
- If possible, set up at least one mobile authenticator, as it is the most readily available at login time.
- If you lose access to your authenticator (e.g. lost phone), contact Swiss21 Support so your access can be restored.
Tips
- Only one device can be registered as a second factor per user account in the Authenticator section; when switching devices, delete the previous device and then set up two-step verification again on the new device.
- Write down your recovery codes or store them in a safe place so you can regain access to your account if you lose your device.
- Use a unique, strong password for the Swiss21 portal and always combine it with enabled two-step verification.
